Vascular Diseases

PAD Pandemic

More than 230 million people worldwide suffer from peripheral arterial disease (PAD) and more than 40% of them are asymptomatic.

The hard access to frequent screening and monitoring leads to complications such as critical limb ischemia (CLI) that have very negative prognosis including major amputation or even death.

Technology / THERMOGRAPHY AI

Rapid Non-invasive Triage of PAD

Kelvin Health uses a mobile thermal imaging camera that captures the heat of the body, segments the thermal image, and applies artificial intelligence to detect anomalies related to vascular conditions.

The thermal camera can capture the heat of the body even under layers of body tissues. If something is wrong with the thermal footprint of the body there are a limited number of potential reasons, such as changes in the vascular system that our AI can recognize.

Applying this scanning process frequently naturally increases the precision of the method.

How it Works

Kelvin Data Collection Platform

Kelvin Health’s DC Platform is used to collect patients’ thermal imaging data and then allow its annotation by the specialists.

  • Secure hospital access
  • Encrypted data
  • Data Annotation module
  • Patient clinical information
  • Cloud & On-premise versions
  • HIPAA and GDPR COMPLIANT
Kelvin Mobile Application & Thermal Camera

Kelvin Mobile App and Platform uses FLIR’s mobile thermal camera to capture the human body temperature applying proprietary gamma segmentation.

  • iPhone version
  • Flir one pro Compatible
  • Proprietary gamma segmentation
  • HIPAA and GDPR ready
Medical cases

One image,
a thousand words

You can see an angiography demonstrating that the blood flow of the right leg is blocked at the knee level. The same is true about the right leg, so both legs are not well supplied with blood below the knee line.

Kelvin Health’s thermogram in the middle leads to the same conclusion, as the lower parts of both legs are much colder than the upper.
