Kelvin Health was thrilled to be part of the impressive Together We Shine Brighter, the fourth yearly gathering of America for Bulgaria community.
It’s a celebration of the fantastic talent of Bulgaria – people who’ve worked hard during the last three years and changed the country for good – people, who committed themselves to developing Bulgaria as a modern, pro-European democratic country, people that shine bright in the darkness. People who bring hope, change the country’s business practices, transform regions and industries, prepare the generation of the future, and initiate innovations that save lives.
Georgi Kadrev, CEO of Kelvin Health, shared a series of personal stories to illustrate the impact our solution is going to have on improving people’s lives. Provoked by the raging COVID-19 pandemic and with the help of some medical doctors, we started developing a tool that combines the latest developments in thermal photography and artificial intelligence.
More than 200 million people worldwide suffer from peripheral arterial disease (PAD), and over 20 million people develop critical limb ischemia annually (CLI). In almost half of cases, a condition that first takes your limb then kills you in less than five years. Patients with diabetes have an even highest risk and, ironically, are the hardest to diagnose because of the typical arterial calcification and higher tolerance to pain.
Imagine if there is a non-invasive easy-to-use tool that can monitor our health proactively and inform us when there is a potential problem with our health. Using a thermal camera, we can capture the body’s heat, detect local anomalies, analyze the patient’s condition and notify the doctor if needed.
