It’s been a month since Kelvin Health took part in “BEC ISEVS Endovascular Academy 2022”, one of the most important medical events in the region.

This was a significant event for us because, for the first time, our solution was presented in front of a medical audience.

We are proud that even four weeks later, we still receive e-mails with positive feedback from inspired doctors and organizations.

As part of the main track of the event, we had a workshop dedicated to AI-automated analysis of thermograms in complex vascular pathology. Prof. Ivo Petrov opened the session with remarks on the advancement of Thermography in healthcare and an overview of some recent publications on its practical application in various diagnostic and monitoring practices.

Georgi Kostadinov, CTO of Kelvin Health, gave an inspiring lecture on the advantages of AI-powered thermography and how Kelvin Health’s solution is disrupting the PAD market for screening, monitoring, and early detection of PAD.

Later on, Svetlin Tsonev, M.D., PhD spoke on the Collection and annotation of thermographic data to golden standards in daily angiology practice. Data is everything; especially in the medical setting, it’s even more important to be adequately collected and annotated.

What would be a method without practical implementation?

Dr. Zoran Stankov logically concluded Kelvin Health’s session with an overview of how AI-enabled thermography was used to assess patients with complex vascular pathology undergoing endovascular treatment.

The Q & A section at some specialized forums can be challenging, but It was inspiring to see so many people in the audience interested in Kelvin Health’s technology. We have some great ideas for innovative thermography applications that we will further study and assess.

The 7th edition of BEC ISEVS Endovascular Academy is happening thanks to the excellent cooperation between the Bulgarian Society for Endovascular Therapy, the International Society of Endovascular Specialists, and The Bulgarian Society of Interventional Cardiology.
