Happy to announce that we have been awarded support from America for Bulgaria’s “Science with a Future” grant scheme as part of “The Next 10” program. In this initiative starting companies working in the field of robotic systems, artificial intelligence & new technologies are given the opportunity to develop their technologies further.
At Kelvin Health the grant will be utilized to support our efforts to compare the abilities of our newly proposed self-screening technique with an established one (mammography) in women with newly diagnosed breast cancer before the patients receive whatever treatment. We also will develop further our machine learning models to distinguish between normal and abnormal thermal images.
These steps are bringing us closer to delivering a solution for early detection of breast cancer through non-invasive screening methods. In the long run, we want to see this as a breakthrough step in developing technology that will save lives not just here in Bulgaria but worldwide.
We are looking forward to excellent cooperation with the program partners to make a meaningful impact in developing new techniques for non-invasive screening and monitoring health issues using AI-enhanced thermal image analysis. We believe the participation in America for Bulgaria’s “The Next 10” program will be a step to broadening our contacts and research partnerships in the USA too.
